Occurs in the Maeklong, Chao Phraya, Mekong, Peninsular and Southeast Thailand river systems (Ref. 26336); also from Bangkok, Petchaburi, Kanchanaburi, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Surat Thani, Chanthaburi, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Ubon Ratchathani, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Phitsanulok, Phrae, Narathiwat and Surat Thani (Ref. 37773).
