Found in larger Thailand streams (Ref. 1632). Occurs in Mekong River and its tributaries (Ref. 9648); Maekok at Chiang Rai and the Chao Phraya River (Ref. 1632); river systems of Peninsular Thailand, Salween and Maeklong (Ref. 26336). Observed to breed in Huai Kid reservoir near the mouth of the Huai Kid stream in Loei Province (Ref. 37770); also from Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Sawan, Nonthaburi, Krabi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and Ubon Ratchathani (Ref. 37773). Also Ref. 4833, 37772, 37773, 43281, 43640.
