Known from the European Black Sea watersheds, Anatolian Black Sea watersheds and Aegean Sea watersheds (Ref. 58342). Recorded in the very northwest region of the country (the rivers on both sides of the Bosporus, Iznik and Sapanca Lakes, Bursa) and the rivers of the Black Sea coast (Sakarya and Coruh) (Ref. 33550); Also from Sea of Marmara (Ref. 106151). Threatened by habitat loss, eutrophication/pollution, construction of weirs/dams in rivers and water abstraction (Ref. 58342). Also Ref. 12255.

Status of threat: Endangered (Ref. 58342). EurTurk.
