Known from Sumatra in Pangabuang, Palembang, Lahat, Lematang Enim, Gunung Sahilan, Sungei Mahe, Danau Sialong, Djambi, Kwantan R., Indrajiri, Lotong; and Borneo in Kapuas, Seruyan, Kahajan and Mahakam (Ref. 2091). Found in the Kapuas Lakes Area in western Borneo, where it is reported by fishermen to occur everywhere throughout the year, more common during the wet season (Ref. 56749). Recorded from Danau Sentarum National Park in the Kapuas basin of Borneo, Kalimantan Barat (Ref. 56749). Museum: Kapuas, AMNH 48920 (Ref. 2091). Also Ref. 7424, 7050.
