Present throughout the Congo River basin, including Pool Malebo (= Stanley Pool) and the drainages of the Kasai and Ubangi, but not in Lake Mweru and the Luapula (Ref. 78218, 82238). Recorded from the marine lower Congo (Matadi), lower Congo, Pool Malebo (=Stanley Pool), middle Congo mainstream, (lower) Lukenie, Kasai, Sankuru, Ubangi, Uele, Mongala (Ref. 82238), Itimbiri (Ref. 82238, 106290), Lomami, Wagenia Falls (Ref. 106245), Lualaba (Ref. 82238, 106245), and upper Lualaba (Ref. 82238). Also mentioned from near Tshela (Chiloango basin) (Ref. 82238) (identification confirmed by E. Vreven, Royal Museum for Central Africa, 12/2011). Also Ref. 3202.
