Known from the upper reaches of the Minjiang River, Daduhe River, upper reaches of the Hanjiang River and Qingyijiang River (Ref. 33508). Collected from the upper reaches of Dadu River in Bama, Qinghai Province (Ref. 33800). Decline of resource due to: building of dams, hydropower stations, dredging of river beds for floating of logs and discharge of polluted water into rivers (Ref. 45563). Also Ref. 249, 31517, 45259, 45563.

Status of threat: Endangered (Ref. 45563).

Known from upper reaches of Banmalichang River of Maerke River in Qinghai Province(Ref.33800).
