Description
Louros (length = 75 km) has a catchment area of 983 km2 and a mean annual discharge of 19 m3 s?1. It also drains into the Amvrakikos gulf. Louros receives treated domestic and industrial effluents and has high recreational value (swimming,
canoeing, kayaking). Water is taken for drinking water supply, for irrigation (133.6 km2) and industrial uses (Ref. 84359).
