Eyre; noun in the Latin genitive case..

Spine dorsali (totale): 7; Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 7; Spine anali 1; Raggi anali molli: 7. This species is distinguished by the following characters: cephalic sensory-canal pore system lacking the IT and PITO pores, while the AITO pore is not enlarged or double; lacks the dark spot over the preural centrum area; dorsal/anal-fin formula is 7/7; 16 pectoral-fin rays, some are branched; when alive, the body has many brick-red markings (Ref. 107299).
