เงี่ยงครีบหลัง (รวม): 11; ก้านครีบอ่อนที่หาง (รวม): 13; เงี่ยงครีบก้น 3; ก้านครีบอ่อนที่ก้น: 11; สัตว์มีกระดูกสันหลัง: 24. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: D XI,13; A III, 11; 11-12 scale rows below lateral line; 5.5 scale rows between the fifth dorsal-fin spine base and lateral line; 53-55 pored lateral-line scales; scaleless preopercular flange; 8-9 gill rakers on the lower limb; head and body silvery-black; no golden longitudinal line on the body; pelvic and anal fins are dusky gray (Ref. 94713).
Imported into Korea from Indonesia as frozen commercial food (Ref. 94713).
