Short description Morfología | Morfometría

Espinas dorsales (total): 1; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 6; Espinas anales 1; Radios blandos anales: 10; Vértebra: 37. Can be diagnosed from all other species of Glyptothorax by the following combination of characters: mottled skin, more prominent over the dorsal and caudal region extending to the tip of the caudal fin; a well-developed obtuse leaf-shaped thoracic adhesive apparatus with no central depression; one bean-shaped cream-colored spot on either side of the dorsal-fin origin; ventral surface of the first unbranched rays of the paired fins plaited marginally and distally (Ref. 93019).
