Facultative air-breathing in the genus (Ref. 126274); Occurs in river with brown muddy and medium to fast flowing water over a sandy bottom (Ref. 79021). Its habitat has little or no marginal vegetation, mainly formed by grass or bushes (Ref. 79021).
