Short description Morfologia | Morfometria

Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 76-78; Raggi anali molli: 54 - 61; Vertebre: 41. This species possess the following characteristics: D 76-78, A 54-61, D/A 25-27, V in D 2.2; vertebrae 12+29=41; anterior nostril at 1/6 the distance from upper lip to aggregate distance to anterior margin of eye; 2 pairs of free pseudoclaspers, the outer pseudoclasper wing-shaped with broad base and distally widened supporter with strong anterior hook (covered by ligament), the inner one is stalked, with slightly widened base and distally bifurcate claw-like with 2 strong outwardly directed spines; cheek with 5 scale rows on upper part and 3 rows on lower part; no upper preopercular pore; otolith compressed, its length to height is 1.8, with undivided short sulcus, its centre anterior of centre of otolith and inclined about 5°, with otolith length to sulcus length 2.25 (Ref. 76869).
