Épines dorsales (Total): 10 - 12; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 6-7; Épines anales 10-12; Rayons mous anaux: 9 - 13. Differs from its congeners by the unique coloration of the unpaired fins of the male, especially by the broad red band between two broad black bands and the absence of blue markings (Ref. 56232).
