Morphologie | Morphométrie
Épines dorsales (Total): 1; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 5-6; Rayons mous anaux: 6; Vertèbres: 33 - 35. Differs from other members of the genus in having a relatively deep body (body depth at anus 6.0-7.8% SL vs. 4.2-5.8), anterior edge of pectoral spine with 29-34 serrations while posterior edge with 12-18 serrations. Can be differentiated further from Sisor rheophilus in having a wider nuchal plate (width 1.2-1.3 times length vs. width equal to length) (Ref. 55921).
