Espinhos dorsais (total): 0; Raios dorsais moles (total): 7-9; Espinhos anais 0; Raios anais moles: 7 - 10; Vértebras: 34 - 38. Four pairs of trifid incisors in each jaw; very small canines; anus markedly closer to rear margin of disc than to origin of anal fin; disc measuring 5.0 in SL; margin of anterior nostril without dermal flap; externally visible anal fin rays 5; caudal rays 8 (Ref. 45765).

Facultative air-breathing in the genus (Ref. 126274); Collected from the shallow surge zone (Ref. 50106). Feeds on small crustaceans (Ref. 50106).
