Description synthétique Morphologie | Morphométrie

Deep body (body depth 11-13% TL versus 6-10) possessing very thin pale bands (less than 1/5 the width of the dark bands) with sharp (high contrast) margins. Bands are sinuous on the anterior half of the body, and extend clearly to the dorsal midline (Ref. 41292).

Facultative air-breathing in the genus (Ref. 126274); Oviparous (Ref. 205). Males provide parental care in nests excavated for larvae (Ref. 55570).
