Etymology: Clariallabes: Latin, clarias, -a, -um = shining + Greek, allabes, -etos = a fish of the Nile, a kind of lamprey (Ref. 45335);  mutsindoziensis: From the type locality, Mutsindozi River (Ref. 26960).
