পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 0; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 12; পায়ূ কাঁটা 0; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 8. No scale in the predorsal area; 8-11 faint dark bars on a yellowish brown background, in the predorsal area usually wider and not meeting their homologues on the dorsal mid-line; in life, caudal fin with bright orange dorsal and ventral margins (Ref. 27732).

Found in clear, fast water on gravel to pebble substrate (Ref. 27732).
