Narrow mouth (mouth width 2.0-2.2 times in head width); barbels lacking in adults (usually two pairs of minute barbels present in juveniles less than about 5 cm SL); last simple dorsal ray serrated posteriorly; caudal peduncle 3.0-3.6 times longer than deep (Ref. 27732).
