Morphologie | Morphométrie
Épines dorsales (Total): 6 - 7; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 7-8; Épines anales 0; Rayons mous anaux: 7 - 9. Caudal fin rounded. Pelvic fins small.
Inhabits soft bottoms. Larvae pelagic (Ref. 6885). Feeds almost exclusively on crustaceans, mainly mysids. Preyed upon by flatfishes, hake, and lancetfish (Ref. 6885).
