| Ammocoetes: max. size 160 mm TL; body proportions, as percentage of TL (based on two specimens measuring 100-160 mm TL): 6.9-9.0 prebranchial length, 10.6-12.0 branchial length, 49.0-54.4 trunk length and 29.0-30.6 tail length; trunk myomeres, 53-57; extent of pigmentation: none on upper prebranchial and lower branchial, 1% to <25% on lower prebranchial, 25% to <75% on upper branchial and on caudal fin; tongue precursor bulb, strongly pigmented (more so than in E. folletti); along elastic ridge of tongue precursor, strongly pigmented. |
