| Moderately heavy pigment, mainly on lower half of body; gut trails little, if at all; middle caudal fin rays elongate; dorsal fin insertion 4-5 myomeres (usually 5) ahead of anal fin origin. Pigmentation: Preflexion: series along ventral margin of gular membrane; series along ventral margin of isthmus and gut; heavy along dorsal margin of gut, continuing along ventral margin of tail; internal series along dorsal margin of notochord; around notochord tip and on caudal finfold. Postflexion: disappears on dorsal part of caudal fin by about 10 mm; few on anal fin base, present or not on anal fin rays; series along midline of roof of mouth by about 11 mm. Sequence of fin development: caudal, dorsal and anal, pelvics, pectorals. | ||||
