| Comments: | Spawn in shallow, sluggish, or stagnant water up to 1.2 m deep or deeper among thick vegetation in hollowed-out, more or less circular or elliptical depressions, 455-760 mm in greatest diameter, and with bottoms of fibrous roots, water-soaked leaves or gravel; also under stumps, logs, and bushes.
