Comments: Mature oocyte: 1-2 mm diameter, cream colored. Species may spawn at a very small size due to differences in environmental conditions (e.g., temperature induced). No apparent sexual dimorphism: advanced female with rounded, distended gonad and inflamed, protruding vent. Form sexually segregated spawning schools migrating upstream to same river site.
