Additional Characters Egg production at 45 cm preanal length is estimated at about 130,000 over the entire spawning season around the central part of the Sea of Japan. Eggs are pelagic and hatch after 3 to 6 days; size of hatched larvae ranges from 5.5 to 6.5 mm total length.
