Additional Characters | Yolk measures 1.5-1.6 mm wide. Eggs float at the surface due to several oil globules in the yolk. The wall of the micropyle has several radially arranged furrows leading to a 80µm wide funnel shaped pit where the 10µm(diameter) micropyle is found (Ref. 94267). Eggs hatch 3 days after being laid (Ref. 94267). |
