Additional Characters Eggs adhesive shortly after extrusion (15-20 sec.) quickly become attached to bottom gravel. Outer coat adhere to object, coating pulled off by current except at one point of attachment allowing egg to sway in water, baloonlike attached to substrate by holdfast or stalk formed from coat. Hatching 2-3 weeks depending on temperature.
