Comments: | Eggs were imported and fish were raised to commercial size in the Sion Farm in Upper Galilee. Breeding was terminated due to lack of commercial success. A decade later, a second attempt to raise the species was made in the Kibbutz Dan fish farm in the Upper Galilee. Breeding was successful but once again, due to lack of commercial success, this venture ceased. A single specimen of this species was collected in Lake Kinneret in the early 1980s (Ref. 37616).
