Remark: The presence of C. nigrescens is usual in the mouth of the left arm of the Balsas river during the season of rains, in the summer. The captured unit adapted to a change of salinity of 25.0 to 0.2 parts by thousands in only two hours. Adapting to the captivity in fresh water pools with alive food without problem some.
