Distribution:  Asia: West Papua Province and Aru islands in Indonesia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This species inhabits small stream, with width of about 2-4 and depth of up to 2 m, near the coast, slowly flowing through closed-canopy rainforest. The stream has very clear water with rocks, sand, mud, and tree debris on the bottom. In Aru Islands, specimens were recorded from a moderately fast flowing stream, with substrate comprising of white sand, leaf litter and fallen trunk (Ref. 116998).
