Family:  Soleidae (Soles)
Max. size:  14 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Asia: Cambodia and Thailand to Indonesia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found along the bottom in flowing water and reportedly also in brackish water of the lower courses of rivers. Feeds primarily on benthic invertebrates (Ref. 12693).

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from Sumatra and Borneo (Ref. 7050). Found in the Kapuas Lakes area in Kalimantan Barat, Borneo (Ref. 56749). Fishermen reported that this fish inhabits mainly the Kapuas and that it moves to the lakes and the Tawang only during the dry season (Ref. 56749). Recorded from Danau Sentarum National Park in the Kapuas basin, Kalimantan Barat, Borneo (Ref. 56749).
