Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar (Ref. 4833), and China (Ref. 31517).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits sandy or rocky bottoms of springs (Ref. 12045). Found in mountain rapids (Ref. 41236).

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from North Bengal, Yamuna river and Suddya in Northern Assam (Ref. 45255). Also found in Kedar Valley (Ref. 37082) and Tripura (Ref. 97593). Also Ref. 41236.
