Family:  Bagridae (Bagrid catfishes)
Max. size:  14.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; pH range: 6.19999980926514 - 7.5; dH range: 20
Distribution:  Asia: India and probably lower Myanmar (Ref. 4833). Reported from Bangladesh (Ref. 1479).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults hide under rocks and boulders in swift-flowing clear water hill streams (Ref. 1479). Oviparous, distinct pairing possibly like other members of the same family (Ref. 205).

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from Wynaad range of hills, Western Ghats and Nagaland (Ref. 4833) and Begur puzha, Maravanthadi, Kerala (Ref. 44148). Also Ref. 41236, 43640, 45255, 87807. Status of threat: Low risk in Western Ghats (Ref. 50614).
