Max. size:  45 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range - 18 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Galapagos Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky or sandy coasts and in bays, from near the shore to a depth of at least 18 m (Ref. 9118). Considered a good food fish (Ref. 9118).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 15 September 2022 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
