Max. size:  47 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; brackish; marine; depth range - 135 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: southern Queensland to New South Wales.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in sandy beaches and reefs but also well offshore. May venture well upstream in estuaries (Ref. 6871). Feeds on worms, crustaceans, bony fishes, and other stingarees (Ref. 12951).
IUCN Red List Status: Near Threatened (NT); Date assessed: 06 August 2018 (A2d) Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
