Family:  Bothidae (Lefteye flounders)
Max. size:  18.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 169 - 325 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Chesterfield Plateau, the Nova Bank and the Capel Bank, west of New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:  Usually 5 or 6 white blotches along head margin in mature specimens. Maximum SL about 18.3 cm (Ref 42535).
Biology:  Feeds on small benthic animals.

Threat to humans:  harmless
