Family:  Cichlidae (Cichlids), subfamily: Pseudocrenilabrinae
Max. size:  7.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater,
Distribution:  Africa: rivers Lulua (Ref. 52307, 80305, 104438) and Kasai (Ref. 52307, 80305)(middle Congo River basin) in Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Diagnosis:  Description: slender, elongated, rounded to slightly flattened body; lateral line with 33-35 pored scales; scales very small but body scales larger than in congeners; swim bladder reduced; a single lateral line (Ref. 52307).
Biology:  Rheophilic; pair-bonding, cave spawner (Ref. 52307). Maximum TL was recorded at 9.7 cm (Ref. 5703).
