Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Cunene (Ref. 7248, 120641), Okavango, (upper) Zambezi (Ref. 7248, 11970, 120641) and Kafue systems (Ref. 7248, 11970).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Prefers slow-flowing and floodplain environments, where it is usually common (Ref. 7248). Oviparous (Ref. 205).
