Max. size:  22.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Tumbes, Peru to Puerto Montt, Chile.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205). Males may be mature at 8.4 cm SL.
