Max. size:  2.76 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: known only from a seasonal pool in the Tocantins River floodplains in Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found only in a seasonal pool that is exposed to sunlight and with aquatic vegetation, clear, slightly tea-colored water (Ref. 79814).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 07 November 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
