Max. size:  16.4 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 43.1 g
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: western Sichuan province and Guizhou Province, China (in the main river and tributaries of middle Yangtze river) (Ref. 26054). Recorded from the Mekong drainage in Yunnan, China (Ref. 37841).
Diagnosis:  Color pattern consisting of 7-9 wide bars, not always very distinct; no black longitudinal rows of spots or thin stripes (Ref. 37841).
Biology:  Inhabits bottom parts of rocky streams or shores of main rivers (Ref. 26054).
