| Biology: | Inhabit rivers. Occur in shoals. Adults ascend from estuaries into large rivers for breeding during monsoons. After the water level recedes, they often get stranded in small pools (Ref. 4833). Oviparous, eggs are unguarded (Ref. 205). | |||
