Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 6.5; dH range: 4 - 6, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: widely distributed in coastal Liberia (Ref. 91031) and present in southeastern Sierra Leone (Ref. 57261).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in brooks, swamps, pools and small streams in the coastal rainforest (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish; occurs in coastal lowlands with pure freshwater (Ref. 84174). It is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
