Max. size:  40 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: Australian waters (southern Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania). Southwest Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on offshore and deepwater reefs (Ref. 9563). Feeds at mid-water on zooplankton (Ref. 26966).
