Max. size:  45 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 5 - 50 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Arabian Sea; Gulf of Aden to Pakistan.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits coastal reefs, in areas with high coral cover (Ref. 9710).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 17 September 2009 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
