Max. size:  40 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Europe: eastern shore of Lake Ohrid.
Diagnosis:  Distinguished from all its congeners in Lake Ohrid by its orange flesh. Can be diagnosed from at least Salmo letnica and Salmo balcanicus by its osteological characters (Ref. 59043).
Biology:  Occurs in lakes. Spawns near sub-lacustrine springs along eastern shore of the lake in May- July (Ref. 59043).
