Max. size:  35 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic-neritic; marine; depth range - 0 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: southern India to Sri Lanka.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inshore species. Feeds mainly on Cymodocea and green algae but may also take diatoms and polychaetes. Catches are sun-dried.
