Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 11-11; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-13; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 11-11; Vertebrae: 24-24. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: D XI,13; A III, 11; 11-12 scale rows below lateral line; 5.5 scale rows between the fifth dorsal-fin spine base and lateral line; 53-55 pored lateral-line scales; scaleless preopercular flange; 8-9 gill rakers on the lower limb; head and body silvery-black; no golden longitudinal line on the body; pelvic and anal fins are dusky gray (Ref. 94713).
Biology:  Imported into Korea from Indonesia as frozen commercial food (Ref. 94713).
