Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 15 - 146 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Langara Island, Queen Charlotte Islands, northern British Columbia to Santa Catalina Island, southern California, USA.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 21-21; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 21-23. Caudal fin rounded. Pelvic fins small.
Biology:  Rare species.
