Max. size:  4.1 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range - 41 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Tonga to Pitcairn.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 19-21; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 16-18. Slender triangular dermal flap dorsally on eye of adults; head and body yellow with rows of large white blotches, a pale-edged brown spot on opercle; dark red dots on head, many in rows, and scattered dark red spots on body (Ref. 49111).
